Malloy celebrated her 6th birthday with 35 of her closest friends. She chose to have her party at Jill's Gymastics. I was thrilled it was not at our house! I don't have many pictures of Malloy in action on the gym floor because I was busy keeping an eye on Gardner and Maisey. It would have been difficult to keep up with her because she was all over the place - balance beam, bars, tumbling, and jumping. After playing for a while, we headed upstairs for pizza (Chick-fil-a for Malloy since she doesn't eat pizza), Icees, cupcakes and ice cream.
Gardner had a blast jumping in to the pit of foam
Maisey loved to jump and jump and jump on the trampoline
Maisey jumped down the trampoline, then ran back to the starting point and did it again and again.
Gardner is such a ladies man. He wanted to hold baby Frances on his lap.
This was the first year I did not print "No gifts" on the invitations. This is the result - too many presents!
There were three things Malloy wanted for her birthday (besides a puppy - which she did not get).
A desk for her bedroom...
A desk for her bedroom...
a pink guitar...
I think this picture is funny because it looks like Maisey is telling Gardner something really important.
The celebration continued all week. The birthday party was on April 27, but her actual birthday was not until May 2, so on her "real" birthday we started off the day with a birthday donut for breakfast.

Then we had a special celebration at school with a cookie cake

After school, Malloy opened a few more gifts and went out for ice cream with Granddaddy. Then I took her to Disney Princesses on Ice. We had great seats in the second row.
To conclude the week-long birthday celebration, Malloy and Dearie went to Dallas along with her BFF Mary Linnea and her grandmother, Onnie Mom. They had lunch at the American Girl store and Malloy got a swimsuit for Saige. Saige also had an appointment in the hair salon. For a mere $20, Saige got her hair brushed and put into a pony tail (keep in mind this doll was only 2 days old). For her "big" gift Malloy selected a horse for Saige. Imagine our surprise when we opened the unmarked red American Girl box once she returned home only to find out that Dearie and Malloy had accidentally purchased the HOT AIR BALLOON instead! Just what we needed, a 4 foot tall toy!
