Malloy's first Field Day at South Highlands was scheduled for May 3. One would assume that on that day of the year in Louisiana it would be relatively warm, if not hot. Well, this year is was FREEZING!! I believe it was 39 degrees at around 8:30 that morning. The Opening Ceremony was pushed back to 9:00 and moved into the auditorium. We were outside for about 1 hour of relays and races. That was long enough! After that, the kids moved inside for the "Personal Best" challenges - hula hoop, push ups, etc. When we finished up with those, we headed back outside for pizza, Chickfila, and treats.
