So Big!

Malloy is getting so strong. As you can see, she loves to stand up whenever she is given the chance. Today she went to the pediatrican for her 4 month check-up. She is 13 pounds 4 ounces and 25 inches long.

Fun With Grandma

Malloy had a great time in Naperville spending time with her grandmother and great-grandmother ("Grannie G"). Malloy loved to laugh with Grannie G. and hear stories from Grandma Whalen.

Trip to Chicago

Malloy just returned from her first trip to Naperville. We had a few travel setbacks due to weather and flight cancellations, but eventually we made it to Grandma & Grandpa Whalen's house. Malloy had a great time with her grandparents and can't wait for them to come visit her in Shreveport next month. After a busy weekend, Malloy was glad to just sit back, relax, and enjoy her flight home.

Ready for her Close Up

Before she outgrows it, we decided to have some professional pictures taken of Malloy in her beautiful Christening gown. She also posed in the "riding on a cloud" backdrop without any clothes. As you can see, she was very cooperative during her photo shoot.

Speaking their Language

I think that Malloy and the cats are learning to communicate. Check out this video of Malloy practicing her sounds. As you can see, she can even talk with a hand full of fingers in her mouth. Sorry the video quality is not so great. I took this video with my webcam.

Jump! Jump!

Today we decided to try out the Jumperoo. I received this as a shower gift, but hadn't taken it out of the box because I wasn't sure whether Malloy was big enough yet. Malloy has pretty good control of her head now, so I decided to give the Jumperoo a try. She seemed to enjoy hanging out in this new position. She is able to keep herself upright, but is not exactly "jumping" yet. I also was able to take a picture of the back of her head so everyone can see that she does actually have some hair. It is growing in a swirl and has some interesting bald patches. From the front she usually looks like she doesn't have any hair and people are always surprised by how much hair she has in the back. By the way, to get a better look at any of the pictures on the blog, you can double click on the actual picture and it will open a new window with a much larger picture. You can really get a good look at the interesting hair pattern if you click for a bigger picture!

Happy Days

We don't have anything too exciting to report, but I wanted to post some new pictures. Malloy is just her usual happy self as you can see from her big smiles.
