Easter festivities

We had a busy Easter week.  It started out with an egg hunt at Betty Virginia Park hosted by the Jacksons.

The babies were very interested in the Easter Bunny.  Gardner even stuck out his tongue when he saw him. That means he was REALLY excited!!
The babies helped themselves to some ice from the cooler.
Gardner loved this dog.  I have decided that G-Man's hair is the exact same color as a golden retriever.

Malloy had her Easter parade at school on Thursday.  Does the hat look familiar?  It's the same one from last year.  Dearie did such a nice job, I felt it needed to be used again (and maybe even again, and again for Maisey when she is at St. Paul's).
Then it was time for the Junior League egg hunt.
Posing with our friends Cameron and Tess.
The last egg hunt of the year was at church.
Maisey's got some eggs and she is not letting go.
Gardner got the hang of finding eggs himself.
Attempt at a family picture after church.
Lunch at East Ridge went surprisingly well.  The babies ate EVERYTHING - blackened catfish, macaroni and cheese, potatoes, peas, waffles.  Malloy ate strawberries and pineapple.  I didn't realize that I had the wrong bonnet for Maisey.  I thought it was the same one Malloy wore when she was almost two, but it turned out to be a smaller one.  It was a little too small for Maisey's head.
Attempting a picture with the cousins.

Maybe this swing is built for two?

It has been so hot here, that I decided we needed to get a baby pool today.  I loaded up the kids and went to Target.  Later, I asked Malloy why she was pouting in this picture.  She said it was because I didn't let her buy any sandals.  I was on a mission to get in and out of the store as fast as I could!  No time for shoe shopping.  I can't get over how BIG Gardner looks in this picture.  He doesn't look like a baby for sure.

Walking on Easter

Maisey is up on two feet and on the move.  She has been standing and cruising for a while, but not officially walking.  She is just a week shy of 15 months old.  Malloy started walking on her first birthday, Gardner about a week after he turned one, and Maisey took her own sweet time.  I have been in no hurry to have two toddlers.  If she had been my first baby, I might have worried about reaching this milestone a little later than "normal", but since she was technically my 3rd baby, I was very laid back about it.  I had Maisey evaluated for Early Steps (a free occupational and physical therapy program) when she was about 8 months old because she was late rolling over and did not like putting weight on her legs.  They said she was perfectly fine and that most babies are walking later than they used to because they sleep on their backs now.  As you can see in the video, Maisey's cousins were all running and walking around her, so I guess she finally decided she wanted to start walking too.
