One of Each!
We found out last Friday that we are having a boy and a girl! I have lots of ultrasound pictures, but none in which I can actually tell the babies' genders. We are currently in Chicago visiting Grandma and Papa and will post pictures from our trip soon....

Big Sister Times Two
Malloy is preparing for her next big role - big sister of twins! In just few more months, Malloy might actually be sharing her bath with two real babies.
This was when we found out we were having twins. Our reaction was something like: "What?!? Are you sure that there are two of them? All I see are two larger dark spots on the screen and lots of little dark spots. That can't really be two BABIES".
The next ultrasound was somewhat more convincing, but they still looked like blobs in my opinion.
Well, hmmm. This does actually look like two BABIES. The reality has finally sunk in. Time to start shopping for a double stroller.

The latest McBabies are set to arrive in January 2011. We still don't know if they are boys, girls, or one of each. We should be able to find out in about two weeks. Kyle doesn't think we should find out the genders (we didn't find out with Malloy). I said I could compromise and just find out the gender of one of them, but I have a feeling I will be caving in and finding out both!

Back from the Beach
This is the one and only picture I have that proves Malloy was actually at the beach. She was not the least bit interested in spending any time in the sand or the surf. In fact, she said the waves "made her nervous". All of her cousins had a great time jumping in the waves but Malloy preferred to spend her days in the swimming pool.
We rented bikes and a bike trailer and rode down to Seaside and Watercolor. Despite the intense heat, Malloy managed to fall asleep on the way home from our afternoon excursion. I am sure she stayed nice and cool with that big furry blanket all over her.
Malloy enjoyed a little shopping at the outlet mall. She especially liked trying on all of the accessories she could find in the store.
Playhouse
For Malloy's birthday, Granddaddy constructed a playhouse for her in our backyard. Unfortunately, it has been so hot that we've barely played in it this summer. It does have electricity and a ceiling fan. I have considered breaking down and putting in a window air conditioner, but I am trying to resist.
Once it cools down a bit (or we get some A/C), we will get to work decorating the inside. Malloy has requested that we paint the walls pink. We've got a cute table and chairs and some fun wall decor from Hobby Lobby that we need to get hung up.
