Almost Walking

Under the Big Top

Malloy's first birthday is still a week away, but we started the celebration early. Our wonderful neighbors insisted on having a birthday party for Malloy. We went with a circus themed block party and as you can see, the neighbors really went all out. Several of them dressed as clowns, we had cotton candy, circus peanuts, circus animal crackers, hot dogs and popcorn. It was so much fun. Malloy really enjoyed all of the festivites.

Big Girl Seat

Malloy is only 2 weeks away from turning 1. My how time flies! We are getting ready to graduate from the infant car seat to a big girl seat. Malloy's new car seat arrived yesterday and she enjoyed sitting on her new throne. I am sure she will be excited when she can finally face forward in the car.

What's so funny??

Here is Malloy playing with one of her favorite toys. It is a little mail cart that she pushes around. There are little plastic pieces of mail that she likes to put in the slot and then she likes to open the door and take them out again.

She can repeat this drill about 20 times before she gets tired of it.

For no apparent reason, Malloy suddenly decides that the pieces of mail are hilarious and she starts laughing.

And laughing...

and laughing some more!

Little Chompers

Malloy is always fascinated when she watches me brush my teeth. Since she has so many teeth (seven of them now!) that I decided it was time for her to start brushing too. As you can see, she really enjoyed herself.

Sunday Afternoon at the Park

Today was such a beautiful day that we decided to take Malloy to a park called "the duck pond". There were very few ducks and tons of people carrying bags of bread, so we decided to skip the duck feeding and get straight to the playground. Malloy is a little too small for the swings so we have to stuff a blanket around her. She loves to swing and thinks it is especially funny when you pull her forward by her legs and then let go.

Bed Head

Yes, I realize that there have been back to back blog entries about Malloy's hair. She is just now getting enough hair for it to actually do anything interesting. The other day she woke up from some serious napping with the wildest hair I have ever seen on her. I don't have much else to report. She is getting over a 24 hour stomach bug and on the road to recovery.
