Everyone is always asking if Malloy looks like I did as a baby. Above is a picture of me (Molly) when I was six months old and below are some photos of Malloy that were taken when she was six months old. You be the judge. Post your comments and let me know.

New Chair

Malloy loves to sit at the table in her new chair and swing her legs. This clamp on chair takes up a lot less room than a high chair and Malloy likes to be right up at the table with us when we are eating. We just have to be careful that she doesn't grab the food off our plates!

Tongue Tied

It is hard to see in this video because the quality is not that great, but Malloy is learning to stick her tongue out. It was much funnier in person, but I thought I would share the video anyway. Watch Malloy's mouth between bouts of laughter as she plays with her tongue.

The Bears

Malloy is wearing her Bears pajamas that Grandma and Grandpa sent her. Kyle does not object because it somehow helps the Saints if the Vikings lose.

Malloy just figured out that she can pull herself up on the railing.

Look Mom, no hands!

We finally got around to lowering the mattress in Malloy's crib. Now we can rest easy knowing that there is no possible way she can climb over the railing. I, personally, was not worried about this, but Grandma told me she was having nightmares thinking about Malloy falling out of her bed. Malloy still hasn't figured out how to get from lying down to sitting up, so we really don't even have to worry about her pulling herself up. The only way she was able to manage what appears to be standing in these pictures was because sat her up in the crib.

Santa Claus

Malloy finally got to meet Santa. She was not the least bit afraid of him. She was actually rather indifferent. I am not sure what she asked for, but I think she would like a remote control, a cell phone, or any other electronic device that she can put her mouth on.

Ho Ho Ho!

Malloy just wanted to model one of her Christmas outfits for everyone. This one says "HO HO HO" across the front. Only 10 more days till Christmas! Malloy hasn't even seen Santa yet to tell him what she wants. We are going to try to see him tomorrow.

The Nativity

The other day when I picked Malloy up from Mothers' Day Out, she was playing with the classroom's nativity set. I decided to order one for her and it arrived today. Malloy really enjoys putting all of the people and animals in her mouth. She has even picked up the entire manger and started gnawing on it. I think this new toy will keep her entertained for the next few weeks, and then we will pack it up until next Christmas.

Finally - Hair!

As you can see, Malloy is finally getting some hair. It's not much, but if it keeps growing at this rate, hopefully she will be wearing bows by this time next year. She is still enjoying her inflatable ducky bathtub. She likes to play with the rinsing cup while she bathes. She can't figure out why sometimes it is light and at other times so heavy.

Naughty or Nice?

She is very interested in her gifts. I think she will enjoy opening presents on Christmas Day.

Malloy is getting in the Christmas spirit. She loves to look at the lights and sparkly ornaments on the tree. She also likes the texture of wrapping paper and the sounds it makes when she touches it. I have a feeling she will be more interested the wrapping paper than the gifts on Christmas morning. We will be sure to get a picture of Malloy with Santa before Christmas.
