Same Shirt, New Season

Baby Malloy last year (September 12, 2007) in her Georgia shirt.
Malloy wearing the same shirt (size 6 months) one year later. I guess her torso hasn't grown in the past 12 months.
My attempt at pigtails for Malloy. I didn't really have small enough rubber bands so I had to improvise.

Go Dawgs!!

Tearing up paper towels in the kitchen.

Feeling an intense craving for orange juice.
Trying with all her power to obtain that orange juice.
Pleased that she has received the desired juice.
Very satisfied by the taste of the juice.
Holding Uga and drinking juice.
Kissing Uga.
Showing some Georgia pride on her backside.

Who Loves Chili Cheese Fritos?

Malloy loves Chili Cheese Fritos.

When Kyle takes the bag out of the pantry she gets very excited.

Below is Malloy's sign that she "loves" something.

She crosses her arms and gives herself a hug.

Little Texter

One of Malloy's absolute favorite things is a real, functioning cell phone. She has two hand me down phones that no longer work and those just aren't entertaining. When she gets a hold of my phone, she is in heaven. Amazingly, she can get the screen lock off by pressing two specific buttons at the same time and she has actually called her Grandma in Naperville when I wasn't paying attention. In these photos she is deep in thought. It looks like she is sending out a very important text message.

Busy night

Can't you see that I am very busy right now?
After working hard on the computer, Malloy enjoyed a bath

Reading herself a bedtime story

Good Morning!!

Malloy is always so happy when I go into her room in the morning to get her out of bed. This morning I brought the camera with me so I could capture how cute she is when she first wakes up. I need to bring the video camera too so you can hear how much she likes to talk when she first wakes up. It sounds like she is telling me all about her dreams from the previous night. So cute!!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Today is Malloy's Grandpa's birthday. We celebrated last night with presents and cupcakes. Malloy enjoyed both. Unfortunately, Grandpa & Grandma headed back to Chicago today. We had a fun week with them including three sleepovers at their place for Malloy.

Hard at Work

Last Friday, Malloy visited Granddaddy's office in Minden while I went to a dentist appointment. Unfortunately, he was out of town that day, but everyone at the office enjoyed seeing Malloy.

Malloy and "Aunt Carolyn" had a great time touring the office, meeting everyone and spinning around in Carolyn's chair.

While Granddaddy was away, we sat in his big office chair.

Happy Hour

Kickin' back on a Friday afternoon.
Did you know that from 2:00-4:00 pm it is Happy Hour at Sonic? During that time, you get all drinks for half price. That means you can get a delicious Route 44 (that means 44 oz.) diet cherry limeade for only $1.02. I decided to give Malloy a sip and she LOVED it. When it was all gone, she even enjoyed eating the crushed ice. After such a big drink, Malloy decided to take a rest on the floor with my sunglasses.

Nap Time

In preparation for the start of "school" we got Malloy's nap mat today. This year, her class takes naps on the floor on mats rather than in cribs. It should be interesting to see how the teachers keep all of the one year olds on their mats during nap time.

Science + Birthday Party = Fun

On Saturday Malloy attended her friend Jackson's 3rd birthday party. It was at Sci-Port Discovery Center which is a hands on children's science museum. They had a "creature feature" where the kids got to pet a gecko, a turtle and a guinea pig. Malloy touched them all. Below you can see Malloy and her friend Cameron. I think they enjoyed sitting on these stools.

They made ice cream using liquid nitrogen and it actually tasted good.

Malloy goes for a spin with her friend Sanders.

Baby, Bottle & Blanket

Malloy feeds her baby the bottle and tries to get a sip for herself too.

Malloy loves her blanket. Once she gets her fingers in her mouth and starts rubbing the corner of blanket on her face, she is ready to sleep. If you say "night night" she will even start heading toward the stairs so she can go to her bedroom.
