Spring is Here!

We had a beautiful weekend here in Shreveport. Malloy enjoyed helping Mommy wash the car and playing basketball with Daddy. She also found her neighbor's Nerf gun, but couldn't figure out how to shoot it. My sweet neighbor, Melissa, has some plastic eggs in her front yard and she puts candy in them almost every day. Malloy enjoys going to see if the Easter bunny has left her a treat. She marches across the street and says, "I check my egg". Today she was delighted to find some sweet tarts.

Donuts with Daddy

This week at Malloy's school they have a day called "Donuts with Daddy". The dads are invited to drop the kids off at school and stay for a donut and coffee. Kyle and Malloy took a trip to Krispy Kreme this Saturday in preparation for the big event.

Bike Ride

It turned out to be a beautiful day so Malloy and I went on a bike ride with Grandma and Papa. They have their own bikes, but we had to borrow one from our friend Lance. It came complete with a baby seat and a pair of helmets for us to wear. Malloy was really excited about the bike ride for about the first 3 miles. By mile 10, both Malloy and I were ready for the ride to be over. Malloy saw lots of dogs, bikers and joggers along the trail. She even saw some cows and horses. It has been a while since I sat on a bicycle seat for that long and I think I will be feeling the effects of the ride for several days to come.

Malloy loves to talk on the phone (or anything else that resembles a phone - like a remote control or a calculator). She can carry on a very convincing conversation even when no one is on the other end of the line. She got some new shades just like Mommy's and now she looks like such a big girl.
