Growing and Growing!

I had to create Maisey's "bowl" picture one more time.  I don't know if she will be able to fit in it next year!  It is amazing to see how much she has grown in 2 years.

Big Sister Happenings

Since most of the February recap was full of pictures of Gardner and Maisey, here's what Malloy has been up to lately...

The Pink Panthers reunited for another season of soccer.  They did not get the pink uniforms again, so they renamed themselves the Green Groovy Girls.  They had a more successful season this year as they actually WON a few of their games.  Malloy scored goals in two different games - naturally, they were the ONLY two I did not go to!  Her teammates were Caroline Sample, Mary Allen Nichols, Emily Anderson, Caroline Graham and Claire Flurry.

Kyle and Malloy packed up their gear and headed out to Camp Forbing for a one night Indian Princess camp out.  I heard they had a lot of fun.  One of the mom's of a 4th grader texted me the next day and said that she heard "Malloy was the life of the party".  I don't know if I should be proud or worried.  I guess she is a not intimidated by older girls.  She was one of only 2 kindergartners at the camp out.

February Recap

Here's a long overdue recap of what went on in February 2013...

The twins got a double dose of Elmo.  First, they went to the Sesame Street Live show at the CenturyLink Center and later that week they went to a birthday party for Elmo at the Learning Express store.  Gardner was very enthusiastic about Elmo and all of the Sesame Street characters.  He was even shouting "I love you, Elmo!" when he saw Elmo take the stage for the first time.

Below, Gardner got a hug from Cookie Monster before the show.
Maisey was a little more cautious and preferred observing the characters from a few feet away.
Gardner enjoying his lunch at Strawn's.  I love that he is not a picky eater...yet.
A common phrase you will hear Maisey utter is "No pants!"  She has some sort of aversion to them and prefers to be pants-less whenever possible.
Trying to figure out how a mask works.
Trying to eat green beans with the mask on.
Mardi Gras parade at school.  Maisey looks like she is about to jump up, flash everyone, and yell "Throw me something, Mister!"
G-Man and Daddy watching the Highland Parade.
Maisey with all of her loot from the parade.
Sunglasses for Valentine's Day
Malloy and Kyle going to the Indian Princess Sweetheart Dance
The twins trying on Malloy's Valentine's underwear
Maisey modeling her owl hat and giving one of her signature smiles
Naughty twins sitting on top of the table
Malloy dressed everyone in white because they were pretending to be kittens.
Enjoying an after-bath stroll now that Daylight Savings Time is here
This picture makes me happy because my kids are eating McDonald's hamburgers.  Ahhh, to have children who will eat NORMAL food.  It is so nice!
Lazy Friday morning - the twins enjoy bring all of the contents of their cribs out onto the couch.  I am training them to watch TV.  For some reason, they are not interested.  I just wish I could have 30 minutes of peace once in a while!
Gardner and his boy cousins.  He was in heaven with all of the "diggers".
Wrestlemania 2013 with Bunker
Maisey the Trapeze Mommy.  Hoping she doesn't land on her brood of babies.
Such a good little mommy.

School Pics

Here they are....the official 2012-2013 school pictures.  Not too bad, if I do say so.  I was especially surprised that they got a smile out of Maisey.  She can be a little bit difficult when it comes to taking pictures.

Literary Ball

The big event for Kindergartners at South Highlands is the Literary Ball.  The children are paired up and asked to dress up as characters from a book.  Malloy and her partner, Julian, had different ideas about what they wanted to be (he wanted Star Wars), but they finally settled on Peter Pan and Wendy.  I may be biased, but they were a pretty cute pair!

The children must have spent a lot of time practicing their dance, because they did a really good job.  You can see that they were all in sync in this picture.

The theme of the ball was "Adventures in Reading, By Air, Land and Sea"  The room mothers did an awesome job of decorating for this event.

As you can see, they went all out with decorations and themed snacks for the kids.
