Melt Down

Recently Malloy has started to become more "emotionally unstable". That is how I refer to her sometimes unexpected displays of unhappiness. They aren't exactly temper tantrums because she isn't kicking and screaming. Instead, she just lies down on the ground or stands in the corner crying. I captured her in action today as we returned home from school. I am not even sure what triggered this response. It was either me putting her down so that I could open the door or not letting her have the keys because I was trying to use them. In either case, she simply had to collapse on the ground and cry.

I picked her up and moved her inside so she could continue the melt down.

A few minutes later she recovered and was playing with her toys again.
